I embraced her with tender gentleness as tears trickled down my face. Those who know me would find this hard to believe, but I found myself completely speechless. I thank God for the opportunity to meet a sister in Christ who doesnít have to physically see Godís evidence but can spiritually see God through the eyes of her soul. Wow, may we all learn from this precious child of the King.
Take a moment to scan the area around you. What colors do you see as you slowly view one thing and then another? Itís interesting how the various images and colors constantly shift as you turn your head. At first glance it appears that each image blends into the next. In reality, your eyes and brain are continually updating the image. The human sensory system of vision views images so rapidly that a break in the action canít even be recognized. The eye/brain connection has the ability to see a wide range of colors, observe the flow of picture perfect motion, and understand minute-by-minute details, all within a split second. God blessed His creations with a unique way to view the world in which we live. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your soulís eyes, too, so that you can see what God desires to teach you through His Word.
About Reflecting Him
Reflecting
Him: Living for Jesus and Loving It is a ten-week womenís Bible stud y. Like Jesusí parables (which teach important lessons by creating visual pictures for the reader), Reflecting Him uses familiar objects and situations (such as pottery, the human sensory system, and the sun-earth connection) and draws comparisons that help women become aware of Jesus working in various areas of their daily lives. The study is a unique and convenient lay-flat format, so you can write without that annoying bump (you know the one we’re talking about.)
Each week is divided into five days (lessons), supporting the central theme for the week. Read the first two chapters (or weeks) online.
The study also has an online component through a Reflecting Him Bible Study Group on Facebook. Individuals working through the study on their own can still get the benefits of a group discussion while working at their own pace. Almost 200 people are in the group already and the discussions are really taking off.
This fall a leaders guide, videos, and music will be released to accompany the study.
