Hola, friends! It’s a stormy day here in Texas but the sun is shining my my heart. Those who’ve been following my personal journey to “get healthy” probably know what I’m about to share, but others might not. I’m here to endorse a product, one that I truly believe has changed my life for the better.
So, here’s the deal: Not so long ago, I was seriously overweight and in severe pain with psoriatic arthritis. I had sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and chronic, debilitating pain. I truly didn’t know if I could stand it much longer. The decision was made to start losing weight. Not the first time, obviously. If you read my book I Must Decrease, you know that I’ve cut calories before (both losing and then gaining weight). This time I needed things to be different.

Don’t believe me? Here are a few “before” photos.
Ouch! (Can’t believe I just put those out there for everyone to see!)
The weight has been MUCH slower to come off this time. SO slow, that I kept plateauing. A few months back I ran into an old friend and she shared her passion for an energy drink called Spark. She gave me one and I loved it.
I recognized the name of the company that put out Spark (Advocare) because I’d been on Advocare supplements years ago. My friend (Mary Anne) looked a lot trimmer/healthier than she had the time I’d seen her prior, so I asked what she’d been doing. (Remember, I was on a plateau at this point and pretty desperate to break it. I’d tried EVERYTHING – counting calories, carbs, the HCG diet…everything.)
Mary Anne told me that she was doing the 24-day challenge from Advocare. I went to her site and looked at it, but (honestly) balked at the price. A couple of days later (disgusted with myself for slipping back into unhealthy eating patterns) I decided to buy it. (Nothing like making a major investment to make you want to behave, right? I mean, seriously…if you spend money of something, you’re more likely to do the right thing.) I bought the 24-day challenge and lost seven pounds in the first four days. Holy smokes, right? It slowed down after that, but definitely jump-started me and got the ball rolling again, for which I’m extremely grateful. I added some Catalyst to the regimen. (It’s for belly fat, basically. Pardon me for being so blunt.) Loved it.
At that point I knew I needed to sign on as a distributor and pay my $79 because it was clear I was going to love these products. Results, results, results!
(And speaking of which, I’m adding a recent photo of me. Yay!) I not only fit better into airplane seats (yes, this was a “huge” issue for me before), I now fit into “normal-sized” clothing, something that never really seemed possible before. What fun!
Next thing you know, my daughters are interested. Megan, who works as a nanny, has been looking for ways to make $$ above and beyond what she’s already earning. She’s also struggled with serious health issues most of her life so I knew she would be a good candidate. Like me, she’d been “plateaued” for a while.
Well, check out her most recent photo after taking the 24-day challenge! I’m so stinkin’ proud of her. She’s done great and I’m tickled pink. SO…we both recently got more involved in the program as advisors. I’m not at all interested in selling this stuff, folks. Just want to get a 40% discount (which I now receive).
Megan, on the other hand, needs to sell, sell, sell! She’s got a great site where you can look at the product.
IF you’re struggling with your weight, check out the “Trim” line.
The “active” line is where you’ll find most of the drinks (like Spark and Rehydrate) that folks are so addicted to.
IF you want to improve your health (i.e. you struggle with immune issues, arthritis, lupus, high blood pressure, etc.), check out the “well” line.
IF you want to build muscle mass (especially if you’re involved in sports), you’ll love the Performance Elite line.
Concerned about aging? There’s a “Definite Difference” line for that, too. (And, FYI, Michael W. Smith uses these anti-aging products. I figure he looks pretty dang good for a guy his age, right? So I’ll have to look into these anti-aging products soon!)
I’m not the only one addicted to this stuff (and I am, I must confess). I join countless ranks of others by putting my stamp of approval on these products. Major Christian artists like Michael W. Smith and Kutlass are shameless promoters! And key Christian athletes like Colt McCoy, Jon Brockman, Chad Martin, Mike Rio, Natalie Burgener, and Brandon Slay are onboard with endorsements, too.
Some people have asked me what products I’m taking, so I’ll list them here (along with their benefits).
10-day cleanse: Just wrapped up a cleanse. Love this phase, FYI. IF you’re not keen on fiber drinks, make a frozen fruit smoothie and add the fiber to it. I promise you won’t even take or feel it. It will just taste/feel like a regular fruit smoothie!
MNS-Max C: This is the “major player” for me. It’s a daily strip of vitamins that comes with the ten-day cleanse. The appetite suppressants are ALL natural. Nothing weird or dangerous. Most of them are teas.
Omega-Plex: Everyone needs to be taking omegas, but not all omegas are alike. If you don’t believe me, check out what Dr. Oz says about the Advocare omegas. If you can’t get any other products, please get this one, especially if you have immune system issues!
Catalyst: I take three of these at a time. It’s known as the belly-be-gone and I’m (thank You, Jesus!) seeing a difference in that (until recently) very problematic area.
Thermo-Plus: These capsules burn 75 calories apiece. You take one at a time, up to three times a day.
Immuno-Guard: Because I (until recently) struggled with an autoimmune disease, I take daily Immuno-Guard. I haven’t been sick since taking them.
Spark: I can’t say enough about this yummy drink! I buy it in the “to go” pouches, but you can get it in canisters, too. I drink it instead of coffee in the morning. (I can’t believe I’m actually saying that! I was so addicted to my morning coffee!) Other “drinks” from Advocare include Slam, Rehydrate and V-16. Plan to try most of them over the next few weeks.
Let me leave you with a video endorsement from New Orleans quarterback, Drew Brees:
So, there you have it. If you’re struggling with your weight (or health) I totally feel your pain. Well, not actually. Not anymore. But you get the idea.

Janice,
My name is Jon Mark Beilue. I am a general columnist for the Amarillo Globe-News. I was alerted by a friend of your book, “Love Finds You in Groom, Texas.” Groom is 45 minutes from Amarillo, but is also my hometown. Needless to say, that kind of jumped out at me. But I thought it might make for a column, about the “Love Finds You” series, how decide to choose Groom, fictional writing in general. If you could, please reply with a contact number or way to reach you either through e-mail at jon.beilue@amarillo.com or office phone at 806-345-3318. It is Friday afternoon. I would like to talk with you if possible early in the week. Thanks.
Jon, I sent you a private note. Thanks for the opportunity. Always happy to talk to folks about my books!
Hi Janice, I picked up your name from the Groom, Texas web pages, and notice you are both an author and involved in the distribution of Christian Books. I have developed a full color presentation covering the period from Easter to Pentecost (with Scripture readings and meditations/prayers and with an introductory and concluding slide) which I would dearly like to share with you and I would greatly appreciate your advice on publication on the internet and at a later stage in printed form.
If you would like me to send the presentation to you and would be prepared to give me yout input please would you e-mail me at the above address. I would respectfully ask you to contact me via e-mail as I am 76 and am not up to speed with the social networking sites. Many thanks,
God bless. Regards, Bob Cole
Hi Bob,
What sort of a presentation is it? Something you’ve illustrated? I don’t really know anything about full color presentations, just traditional books. Sounds like an interesting project!
