As October ends and November begins, pause to reflect on God’s blessings. Step into a season of gratitude with devotionals, faith, and thanksgiving.

Farewell, October
As October draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the beauty of this season. The colors, the flavors, and the gentle reminder to slow down all seem to whisper God’s goodness. Even here in Texas, where fall doesn’t always “feel” like fall, the shift in the calendar reminds me to pause and give thanks.
The Month of Thanksgiving
Now we turn the page to November—the month of thanksgiving. It’s a time to count blessings, big and small, and to remember that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17). Gratitude shifts our perspective, helping us to see God’s hand at work in the ordinary moments of our lives.

Thankful for Readers and Words
This year, I’m especially grateful for the gift of words. Writing has been my calling for many years, and I’ve been blessed to share both stories and devotionals that point back to the Lord. I’m also deeply thankful for you—the readers who encourage me, walk this journey with me, and remind me that writing is never done in isolation.
Looking Ahead
As we move into November, I’ll be sharing devotions, books, and reflections that celebrate gratitude and prepare our hearts for the holiday season. My prayer is that these words will bless you and remind you of God’s steadfast love.
Closing Thought
This season, may we step forward with hearts wide open, thankful for the simple blessings of life, and ready to embrace the opportunities God has for us in the days ahead.
With love,
Janice
