My Faith Journey Through Writing

From my first book in 2000 to 170+ published works, writing has been a calling. Discover my story of faith, devotionals, and God’s blessings.

A Childhood Love for Jesus

From the time I was a child, I loved Jesus. Church was my safe place, the place where I learned about faith, Scripture, and worship. Even then, I knew God had His hand on my life. But I didn’t yet know the path He would lead me down.

The Call to Write

Years later, when my daughters were in their teens, I began to sense a “call” to write. It wasn’t something I had planned, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I could do it. I certainly didn’t believe my words would ever be published. Still, the call tugged at my heart, and I began to put pen to paper.

In 2000, my first book released. That moment changed everything.

Pouring Out the Stories

Since then, God has allowed me to publish 171 books—romances, mysteries, comedies, and devotionals. Through every story, I’ve tried to share joy, humor, and hope. More importantly, I’ve looked for ways to weave in my faith.

Some of my readers meet Christ in the pages of a devotional. Others find Him tucked into the humor of a quirky character or the resolution of a cozy mystery. However the message comes through, my prayer is that hearts will be touched.

Quiet Days, Daily Words

These days, my writing life looks different than it once did. My home is small, cozy, and filled with the joyful chaos of six dogs. Often, I write with something baking in the oven—yet another way God has expanded my writing into a new direction through my baking blog, which launched in late 2022 and was monetized the following year.

Though quieter, my days are still full of words, but most are landing on my website, not in book form. But through it all, one thing remains true: I keep writing because I am called.

God’s Blessing and My Devotionals

God has blessed me mightily. He gave me this voice—not for myself, but to serve Him and to serve others. Every book is an offering. Every post is a testimony. And every devotional is a chance to point back to the Savior who sustains me.

Grateful to Serve

I am grateful for every opportunity I’ve been given to serve through writing. It has been a journey I never could have planned for myself, but one that God ordained from the very beginning.

If you’ve been touched by any of my stories, know this: it’s not me—it’s Christ working through me. He is the true Author, the One who has written every chapter of my life.

Much love,

Janice
